AFTER CARE

Extending your Self-Care

IF YOU CAN

Over the next few days…

  • Try to avoid stimulants like alcohol, tobacco and limit caffeine.

  • Stay well hydrated.

  • Rest as much as you can. Could be reading, journalling, taking an epsom salt bath, turning your mobile off, or just taking an extra 3 deep breaths between activities.

  • Tune into your body. You may (or may not) have some big physical, emotional, or spiritual needs over the next few days. If you’re able to make space for this, even in a small way, that will help you get the most out of your post-session support!

SIDE EFFECTS

After your Treatment

Hopefully you will feel delightful after your treatment!

However, sometimes you may find that you feel a range of other things after your treatment. You might notice:

  • More frequent, urgent, or notice a change in the consistency of your bowel movements.

  • Feeling light headed or headachey

  • Mild flu-like symptoms or that whatever pain or symptom you came to your appointment with suddenly gets worse. Usually if this happens it will equally suddenly get a lot better too.

Usually these kinds of symptoms pass in 24-48 hours and are generally not very severe. However if they are severe or last longer than 48 hours please do contact your medical team and seek medical advice.

If you do experience any of these symptoms it normally helps to sip more water, take an epsom salt-bath, and be gentle to yourself, resting quietly if possible.

WHAT NEXT?

Planning your next session

As with any lifestyle change or self-care, the greatest benefit from comes with consistent repetition over time. If you enjoyed your session, consider pre-booking your next treatment within the next 6-8 weeks.
