Come cozy up with us for an evening of film, conversation, and community. Each month we’ll screen a different film centered around menstruality, reproductive justice, and the experiences of those navigating this world in bleeding bodies. Some films will be light and funny, others more serious and thought-provoking — but every night will hold space for connection, camaraderie, and open-hearted conversation.
In Lieu of payment, please bring a friend, a snack to share (allergen-aware, please!), or a contribution to the Period Library — that could be a book, or unopened period products. All ages and genders are welcome. Disrespect or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
Upcoming Screening:
🎥 Thursday, October 16 – Carrie.
In the film, Carrie's first period is not treated as a normal bodily function but as a terrifying and monstrous event. Her classmates' reaction to her period, throwing tampons and pads at her, reinforces this idea. Her mother's religious fanaticism further fuels the idea that menstruation is a curse or sin.
Keep scrolling for future films we plan to screen - film lineup is subject to change.
Registration is required to attend – space is limited!
Upcoming Screenings:
November 20: Are you there God, it’s me Margaret.
December 18: Turning Red
January 15: Periodical
February 19: Period Man
March 19: End-O
